1. Application form (This form must be filled out by the applicant.)
2. 6 photos
(This photos should be taken within 6 months and from front with no hat on. Size: 40mm×30mm)
3. Certificate or diploma of graduation from the last educational institute
(Diploma will be returned afterwards.)
4. Personal Records
(This form must be filled out by the applicant. The applicant’s education history,
previous Japanese study experience, and work history should be written in chronological order.)
5. Certificate of proficiency in Japanese
(Certificate of completion or a student status from Japanese Language school Total hours (at least
180 hours) must be stated. Certificate of the Japanese Proficiency Test, J-TEST or NAT-TEST)
6. Identification card(the applicant’s and the sponsor’s)
7. An official document to certify the kinship with the applicant
8. Certificate of enrollment from the school the applicant belong to
(Those who are enrolled in a vocational school, university, or post-university.)
9. Job certificate (Those who have a job at the present time.)
10.Copy of Passport (Those who have a passport.)

1. Letter of financial sponsorship
(You must be written in detail. Ways of payment must be specified.)
2. Bank statement
(This statement must be issued by a bank under the name of the applicant, account number, bank seal,
signature of the person responsible, and issued date must be included in the statement.)
3. Job certificate
(Documents states your employment status, a copy of company registration documents, operating license.)
4. Income certificate for 3 years
5. Certificate of tax payments for 3 years
Ⅱ If your sponsor residing outside Japan pays the expenses
1. Letter of financial sponsorship
(The reason for sponsorship and relationship between you and your sponsor must be written in detail.
Ways of payment must be specified. For example, send money by wire.)
2. Bank statement showing the balance of the account
(This statement must be issued by a bank under the name of the financial sponsor, account number, bank seal,
signature of the person responsible, and issued date must be included in the statement.)
3. Job certificate
(A documents states your employment status, a copy of company registration documents, or operating license.)
4. Certificate showing the relationship between you and the financial sponsor
(Certified copy of the sponsor’s family register, birth certificate etc)
5. Income certificate for 3 years
6. Certificate of tax payments for 3 years
Ⅲ If your sponsor residing in Japan pays the expenses
1. Letter of financial support (This form must be filled out by the financial sponsor)
2. Certificate of the sponsor’s total income
(Certificate of the metropolitan(prefecture, city , town, village, word) resident’s taxation or certificate of tax payment
issued by a taxation office (Part 1, Part 2))
3. Bank statement showing the balance of the account
(This statement must be issued by a bank under the name of the financial sponsor, account number, bank seal,
signature of the person responsible, and issued date must be included in the statement.)
4. Job certificate
(Documents state your employment status, a copy of company registration documents or operating license.)
5. Documents certifying that a seal in registered
(The sponsor must put the same seal in the letter of financial support as one in the certificate)
6. Copy a resident’s card of the sponsor (The family members’ name of the sponsor must be included in the document.)
