DBC have three kinds of contests every year, which are KANJI (Chinese Characters) Contest, Speech Contest,
Writing Contest. The winner is awarded a testimonial and prize money. |

Each student makes a writing with his/her own theme and practices a
speaking. A representative of each class is selected by a video test. The
representatives of all classes compete in a DBC school contest. The final
winner will have a chance to join the Foreigner Speech Contest held by
Aragawa-Ku as a representative of DBC.A representative of DBC has been
a great honor to school with a remarkable grade almost every year. |

Kanji (Chinese Characters) Contest |
Each class takes a Kanji test in the first 10 minutes every day. And the
student who has the highest average for last 3 months is to be a winner. |

Writing contest |
Each class decides its own subject and each class teacher selects a
representative of the class. The winner of each class is awarded a prize.
Finally, after 40 teachers review all representatives’ essays, the best one
is selected and the final winner is awarded a testimonial and prize money. |

Sports contests are held in DBC’s gymnasium two times a year. All classes join various games and the winner team
is awarded a prize. ( volleyball, baseball, basketball, ping-pong contest etc. ) |

After the students of advanced level visit Japanese Court of Law and Congress in January and February , they have
discussions in the class.Beginner and intermediate classes go to see SUMO and KABUKI and they learn various
Japanese traditional cultures. |

Students who are scheduled to graduate in March go to a travel to Enoshima.Students who have studied in DBC for
more than one year and teachers have an enjoyable time there. |

An Arakawa Kawanote Festival is held in May and DBC’s students can join the festival as volunteers. They can
enjoy the festival and make a good memory with Japanese. |

All students of DBC go to attractions or amusement parks like Disney Land Resort , Odaiba, or Kamakura etc. in the
mid of June and they can make wonderful memories with classmates and teachers. |

“Bongodori”, the summer festival of Japan, is held in August. DBC students join the festival every year and learn a
Japanese traditional dance and how to play a Japanese drum. They can enjoy an exciting summer time in Japan as
joining a lot of performances of festival with Japanese. |
